Ruby Caroline is ONE!

Some new things that happened this month:
  • You can stand on your own.
  • Love to play Peek-A-Boo
  • New words, "dat" "hi"
  • Can sign "Thank You" & "Sleep"
  • You love your baby doll!
  • You are dancing and clapping all the time!
  • Everything is a phone and you pretend to talk on it
  • Since it is Christmas, you have started to unwrap presents!
  • You took your very first steps the day after you turned ONE!

No changes in clothes, still mostly 9-12 month clothes.  We did move up to size 3 diapers! Hair is golden blonde and we love your big blue eyes!

We went to the doctor for your one year check up and you are totally healthy!  Small, but mighty!  We made it one whole year without and medicine or sick visits!  You are still 100% breastfed, but love to explore food also.  You are a great sleeper and napper, taking two naps a day and sleeping 10-11 hours at night.

Stats at one year:
Height - 28", 20%
Weight - 19 lbs, 20%
Head Circumference - 17.5", 30%

Ruby Cakes,
We cannot believe you are ONE!   This year has passed by so fast, faster than we could have imagined.  We had no idea what joy having a sweet baby girl would bring to our world.  We love watching you with your sister and brothers and cannot wait to see what God has in store for your life.  Thank you for completing our family.  We love you, to the moon!

Ruby Caroline - Month 11!

Some new things that happened this month:
  • You got your two top teeth!
  • When you get excited you cannot stop kicking your little feet!
  • You can stand on your own for short periods of time!
  • The stairs have to be watched all the time, because you go up them anytime we aren't looking!
  • You love to unpack cabinets and drawers!
  • We took your paci away at the beginning of the month and you had no trouble at all!

No changes in clothes or diapers, still mostly 9-12 month clothes and size 2 diapers.  Your hair is getting a little longer, and still blonde!

We will have updated stats on height and weight next month!

Ruby Cakes,
You are so much fun, we love watching you learn and grow!  You keep us on our toes at all times, and there is never a dull moment! We love you, to the moon, baby girl!

Ruby Caroline - Month 10!

Some new things that happened this month:

  • Second tooth!
  • Love blueberries
  • You are a super fast crawler!
  • Love to clap, squeal and "talk"
  • You can say Mama!
  • You love your big brothers and get so excited to see them!
  • Just like John Thomas at about the same age, your tongue is out ALL THE TIME!
  • You love to play in the dog bowl and anytime you aren't being watched closely, you go over and get into it!  You've even eaten a few pieces!

We started putting you in 9 month clothes, but still size 2 diapers and smallest rise setting in cloth. Your hair is starting to become more blonde!  We love your pretty blue eyes!

I don't have official stats for height and weight, since there is no doctor visit this month!

Ruby Cakes,
You are so full of personality and love!  You light up each room you are in.  You are into everything and we love every minute! Thank you for bringing us such JOY!

Ringling Brothers Circus!

We decided last minute to take John Thomas and Ruby to the circus, and I am so glad we did!  He loved every minute of it and Ruby loved watching all the lights and animals, too!
We left early and found a breakfast spot close to American Airlines Center to make sure we were nice and full!

Best pic we could get walking in, someone did not have time for a photo op, he was more than ready to get to his seat at the circus!

The whole time he was glued to the animals and the performances.  He kept saying, "cool!" "look mama, look daddy!" "I love it!"

Ruby loved it, too!  She watched so intently!

The lions were one of John Thomas' favorites.

At intercession we met up with our sweet friends who were also there for a pic!
These two have been friends since they were little babies!

John Thomas' ultimate favorite part was the elephants!

They almost made it through, but the show was almost two hours and they just couldn't make it another minute!

First Day of MDO 2014

Both kids started Mother's Day Out at Tiny Town this year!  This is John Thomas' third year and Ruby's first year!  They both had great first days, and seemed to love their new teachers!  John Thomas especially was glad to be back with all his friends!

Justin and Allie - Reception Photos

After we returned from paradise "aka Jamaica" we went back home to Texas for a short week before the kids and I returned to prepare for the reception with all Justin and Allie's family and friends!  Thankfully, Kris got a last minute flight and joined us for the reception!

We had lots of help and everything Allie planned turned out beautiful!

Her cake was stunning and every layer was a different flavor and filling and was delicious!!
These two cuties were just hanging out before pictures!

Before the actual reception, we were able to have bridal party and family pictures made!

John Thomas was completely smitten by the flower girl, Emma!

After pictures, the fun began!

John Thomas was a little jealous that Aunt Allie had Papa all to himself, so he decided to join in on their dance!

My sister's dress was beautiful, she made a gorgeous bride!

When it came time for toasts, John Thomas got the microphone and did his infamous, "Welcomeee to myyy circus..." it took us several minutes but we were able to get it back from him :)
Side note about my toast: I had the entire thing written out, put it where I was sure not to lose it, and forgot where I put it!  So I had to wing the whole thing :)

I was so grateful for sweet friends who offered to take the babies and put them to bed so I could have a night with my husband.  Those nights are few and far between, and we enjoyed every minute!
