Our little guy turned 11 months old on January 2! Our baby is turning into a little boy, day by day!

The incredible pride we have in you is like nothing I have ever experienced. You are a joy to be around, and we get compliments from strangers all the time saying what a good and happy baby you are. We can't help but agree!
Here are some of the things you have been doing this month:
- Cut your second tooth! They are the cutest thing when you smile :)
- You get "mad" when we ask you to. It is the funniest thing, you furrow your brow, wrinkle your nose, slam your fists and make a loud grunt!
- Decided you do not like ANYTHING on your head. It is a struggle to even get you to leave your hooded towel on your head after bathtime.
- Finally got the hang of your sippy cup and will use it throughout the day. (water only)
- You are acting so much more like a big boy, and not a baby anymore!
- We started cloth diapering this month and so far, your mama loves it!
- You learned to clap and do it all the time now!
- You are pointing at everything and have a routine when Daddy gets you out of bed in the mornings where you point to things in your room and he takes you to each one to touch
- You follow simple directions and definitely know the meaning of the words "no" and "good job" Good job is usually followed by lots of clapping!
- Took your first step on January 1! I think it was on accident!
- You are signing consistently, water, more and eat - you learn things so quickly!
- You stand up alone in the middle of the floor all the time, you can even squat and stand over and over :) our little strong guy!
- So many emotions! You crack us up with your facial expressions, expressive for sure!
Eating:
He is taking a bottle or nursing 4 times a day and eating regular meals at breakfast lunch and dinner. He has also started signing "eat" mid afternoon for a snack. Some favorites are, spaghetti, bananas, blueberries, oranges, any kind of meat and avocado.
Sleep:
Still a great sleeper. Normally 10+ hours per night with two naps!
Toys:
Wow, this kiddo loves his toys! Any kind, blocks, puzzles, little people, ride on's, books - he loves them all! He has gotten a lot better about playing independently, and will do so for 15-20 minute stretches of time.
Stats:
Unofficially, he weighs around 21-22 lbs and is 28" tall! A big boy, for sure!
Clothes:
Still wearing mostly 9-12 month and 12 month clothes. Mainly cloth diapers, which are one size fits all :) but a size 4 in disposables for school. Size 3 shoes, even though we rarely wear any!
I cannot believe that in less than a month we will have a ONE year old. WOW. Time flies, and we are savoring EVERY single minute!
