Ruby Caroline - SIX months!

   Some new milestones this month:
  • You started waking several times a night at the beginning of the month, not to eat, but just wanted your paci put back in.  Thankfully most nights, now, you are much better!
  • Chew, chew, chew, you chew on everything.  Everyone thinks you are teething, but at your 6 month well visit the pediatrician said there are no teeth coming in!
  • You started sleeping on your tummy and immediately roll to it when we put you in bed.
  • For the most part, you can sit on your own.
  • I volunteered at VBS, so you were able to go with me for your first time! You didn't do a whole lot, but laughed and "talked" to the other friends in your room.
  • We went to NC by ourselves for Aunt Allies bridal shower!
  • Koen announced he is really glad he has a little sister (even though I don't think he was so sure in the beginning) he loves you and plays with you now that you are "fun" :)
  • Your schedule is mostly the same, eating every 3 hours and taking 2-3 naps a day.  Your longest and best nap is in the afternoon at the same time John Thomas goes down.
You haven't moved up any sizes in diapers and are wearing mostly all 3-6 month clothes.  We still don't do shoes, you would just wiggle out of them! Your hair is getting much thicker and still a light brown/blonde, eyes are still blue and looks like they will stay, just like big brother!

We had your 6 month well check at the pediatrician and you are growing and healthy!  Everything is right on track.

At 6 months your stats are:
Height: 25.5" - 50%
Weight: 14 lbs 5.5 oz - 25%
Head Cir: 16.25" - 20%

You are much smaller than big brother was.  He weighed almost 3.5lbs more than you at the same age!

Ruby,
Last year, at this same time, we were sharing the news with our family and friends that you would be welcomed into this world.  You have changed our lives for the better and we cherish your sweet smile, squeals and laughter.  We are completely smitten by you!  Thank you for making each day a little brighter!
We Love You!
