Ruby Caroline - Two Months

Another month has come and gone!  Everyone tells you that if you think your first flies by, wait until your second!  I completely understand now!  It seems like we just brought her home and now she is already two months old! Here are a few things Miss Ruby has done in her second month!

• Started smiling intentionally!
• eating every 3 hours typically, with a few cluster feeds in the evenings, usually only on one side for 10 minutes or so
• you had your first bottle on 2/15, and took it great!  Daddy gave it to you.
• Sleeping almost all night, usually only waking once! You slept through the night for the first time on Valentine's day! (until 4:45 am)
• you are still sleeping in our room in your Rock N Play, after I feed you, we lay you down and you put yourself to sleep, just like your big brother did!
• sleeping in the Rock N Play sleeper at night, and love it! 
• you still love to be held and snuggle tight
• we realized that either our detergent or lotion was making your skin break out, so now we only use free and clear products, since then your skin is perfect again!
• you can hold all your weight on your legs and stand like a big girl!
• took your first trips to the museum and zoo and were an angel at both!
• had your first flight to Oklahoma to see Brock, Ashley, Bronson and Sutton, while Daddy and Koen went to the OKC Thunder game
• you still love bath time, Daddy gives you a bath every night
• we started wearing cloth diapers and they look pretty funny on your tiny body!
• you are wearing size 1 disposable diapers at night and for outings, and wear 0-3 month clothes
• we had your two month check up and shots: you are perfectly healthy, but did not enjoy your shots.  You cried and ugly cry, so I stayed for a little bit to nurse you to get you calmed down! 

Two month stats:
Height - 22" (50%)
Weight - 10 lbs 7.5 oz (50%)
Head - 14 3/4" (15%)

Our schedule is mostly the same this month, with the exception of going a little longer between feedings!

Morning

Wake up and eat

Nap while mama feeds John Thomas and eats breakfast herself

Lay in the floor while we play with brother

Eat

Midday

Nap while brother and mama eat lunch

Eat, again! 

Playmat, or go with mama to pick up brother on school days

Afternoon

Nap

Eat, again

Playtime with Daddy when he gets home from work

Evening

Nap (or not :)) while we eat, or we take shifts during your fussy time

Eat, again

Bath with Daddy while Mama gives brother a bath and takes a shower

Late Evening

Eat around 8:30 or 9:00 pm

There is not a day that goes by that I do not tell you how blessed we are to have you in our lives.  You get more beautiful everyday and we pray you will be just as beautiful on the inside.  We ALL absolutely adore you, and love every minute with you!
